When applying for loans, people are usually asked to provide collateral.  The Title Loans are not an exception.  The car placed as collateral guarantees that the money will be paid back on time.  But the most important aspect regarding the collateral of the title loans is that it determines the amount of the loans.  That means that the amount of money that could be borrowed is influenced by the value of the car.  So, the more expensive the car is, more money can be borrowed.  On the other hand, a borrower can not take the same amount of money as the value of the car.
