A compliance director job involves providing written and oral advice and guidance regarding compliance requirements that impact a company’s products and business. A compliance director will evaluate the level of compliance with company/ government contracting policy, generally accepted operating principles, government contracting requirements and applicable rules and regulations; and will participate as a compliance expert, as appropriate, in committees and groups established to support business initiatives or process modifications and oversee coordination of compliance implementation with other company departments and business units. A compliance director will also be responsible for analyzing new and proposed legislation that impacts company operations, products, services, or distribution channels, and initiate appropriate action. A compliance director job requires a minimum of 10 years experience in roles of increasing leadership and responsibility in areas of legal services, non- IT compliance management, regulatory agency, audit, or related consulting field. A legal, attorney, or paralegal experience is desirable for a compliance director role.
