Lending a Hand

Our church decided to send workers to help with the relief efforts in Haiti.  As an incentive they were giving a free Disney World ticket for volunteers who signed up the same day.  Since my family had been wanting to go to Disney World for quite some time and my schedule was flexible enough to arrange some time off we decided to go for it.  I spent a week with our church group helping people and I decided that it was probably the best week of my life because I felt like I was really giving back to people who needed it.

KFC Locations – I Need My Chicken

I have loved chicken since I was a child.  I have always wanted to go to the nearest KFC location and get a dinner.  In the past year, since they have added their grilled chicken, I go even more.  A meal with the grilled chicken, green beans, cole slaw and a biscuit is a reasonable meal price wise, and it is also a reasonable meal for my diet.  If I am out of town on business, I use kfc.com to find the nearest kfc locations so that I can enjoy my favorite chicken while away from home as well.  Hooray for the Colonel.

Weekend In Miami

My friends from class just returned from a weekend in Miami.  They are shopping around for an apartment for their daughter while she attends school.  They found some furnished apartments miami that might work for them.  They weren’t really looking for anything furnished but they kept an open mind when the manager suggested that they look at one.  It turns out they like the floor plan the best.  The did take plenty of pictures to get some feedback from family and friends.  So far everybody loves it.  The boy friends likes it too.   Apparently he’s gonna move in to help with expenses.

While Swindon is known to be a booming business centre, about two thirds of it is still rural – with many wonderful and historic villages. Its neighboring areas are also villages as well. Get in early or plans might have to change

Trying to find some taupo accommodation during the holiday season can be a bit of a tough task, that’s why you really need to get in early and get a booking. I had to change my holiday plans last year as I had intended to head to the lake but because I waited till the last minute to book it I couldn’t find anything suitable, so I had to head to the mount instead. Not that it was bad going there instead, it’s just that I would have preferred being at the lake. I made sure that I got everything sorted out early this time.

Prime position for the boat racing

The lake taupo accommodation we had booked for thunder on the lake could not have been better. It was in such a prime location that we didn’t even need to leave our apartment to watch the racing as the balcony faced straight out to the lake. You can imagine that this was pretty much an ideal for all of us as we could just sit on the balcony in the sunshine and have cold beer sitting in the fridge. We are just waiting for confirmation of the dates for the race next year as we will definitely be wanting to book the same apartment.
