Maybe Now I Can Get Some Grandchildren

January 4, 2010 on 7:31 pm | By | In Travel

My daughter has accepted her boyfriends marriage proposal. I could not be more excited because I am more than ready to be a grandma. I told her what ever she wants that my husband and I will be willing to pay for it. We told her that this is something that we have been saving for and that money was no object. She then told me that they had been doing some research on Miami Weddings, and they want to get married on the beach. When she showed me the cost, I was flabbergasted at how affordable it was. We thought that we were going to be out of thousands of dollars.

Mountain Cabin Property

December 28, 2009 on 8:38 am | By | In Travel

One of the most relaxing and satisfying vacations people can often experience is when they stay in mountain cabin property, esepecially as you don’t necessarily have to travel far from your home to enjoy this experience.  You can get away from the pressure and stress of your everyday life and relax and enjoy the mountains, lakes and nature.  Recharging your batteries in a clean and tranquil environment.  When choosing to go as a family you need to ensure that the mountain cabin property allow children as often cabin owners do not as it disturbs the peaceful environment others enjoy and there is an increased risk of damage.

Going on a Cruise? Here are Some Tips

December 26, 2009 on 1:25 pm | By | In Travel

Cruises are such a great way to get away from it all for a short amount of time. Even if it is just three days it may be what you needed to get away from work.

But cruises can be pricey especially around the holidays so when you start planning for one always do your research to find a good travel cruise discount. You can save some good money by searching online or call up the cruise line to ask about their discounts.

Another good way to save some money is to buy tickets through the cruise line early on and avoid buying them from through a travel agency.

Many tempting possibilities

December 26, 2009 on 6:24 am | By | In Travel

The two that my table sampled were winners: one with sweet caramelized onions and one, called flor del bosque, with forest mushrooms covered in bubbling fontina punctuated by dollops of soft goat cheese. This may seem like a daunting starter, but Tramontos pizza comes as an extra-thin-crusted tart. If youre not a meat lover, consider grilled asparagus under a poached egg or Sardinian fregula, a couscous look-alike, with seafood. The easy-to-share $25 selection offers a choice of five from more than a dozen italy vacation packages possibilities that include lean prosciutto, bresaola and hot or sweet soppressata as well as cheeses like fontinella, provolone and Gorgonzola served at perfect temperatures. Of the many tempting possibilities, the stunning antipasti platter is a must. The menu lists an abundance of choices suitable for snacking or feasting, sharing or not.

Celebrate Your Anniversary at a Delaware Seafood Restaurant

December 19, 2009 on 6:58 am | By | In Travel

My husband and I were down on the east coast celebrating our thirtieth wedding anniversary. After a perfect day of sight-seeing and strolling the beach, we decided on dinner at one of the cozier Delaware seafood restaurants. The atmosphere was romantic, and the food was amazing. I have never seen such beautifully presented seafood platters. The lobster was cooked to perfection. In fact, try as I might, I could not seem to save room for dessert. I could only appreciate those thirty years that had brought us to this wonderful place in our lives. We were still in love, maybe more than ever before; we had wonderful children and grandchildren to appreciate; and we had our health to enjoy it all. It doesn’t get any better than that.

Looking forward to unspoilt views at one of the top Mallorca hotels

December 16, 2009 on 4:06 pm | By | In Travel

I can’t wait to enjoy a brilliant holiday in Mallorca this February. The weather should be perfect and we are staying in one of the most beautiful areas, on the island’s east shore between the beaches of Cala Domingos and Cala Antena. After looking at a few of the Mallorca hotels that were within our price range, we choose the stunning Hotasa Samoa Hotel. It’s set right on the sandy beaches and inviting blue sea and has unspoilt views thanks to the hotel’s elevated location. The resort centre is nearby but there are also loads of activities on site so I’m sure we won’t find ourselves with a lack of activities to enjoy.

An action-packed holiday at Lanzarote hotels

December 16, 2009 on 10:35 am | By | In Travel

Every year we take a family holiday to Lanzarote but try to explore different parts of the island. This year we are going to check out Costa Teguise on the east coast of the island. We found plenty of cheap Lanzarote hotels that would be great for our stay, but we’ve decided on Club Siroco Aparthotel. It’s absolutely perfect for us as we’re a very sporty family and there are so many activities on offer. On site there’s two swimming pools, mini golf, volleyball, tennis and even rifle shooting amongst others. And since it’s so centrally located it’s not far from an array of other options like horseback riding, fishing, a 24-hole golf course and every water sport imaginable. I think with all the action we may need a holiday from our holiday!

For My Trip, I Needed To Learn To Speak French

December 10, 2009 on 5:20 pm | By | In Travel

I had finally saved up enough money to take my trip to Paris, I was so excited that I could hardly sleep at night. I was looking forward to all the sights I was going to see and all the wonderful food I was going to experience while I was there. To prepare, I decided to learn to speak french, not fluently but enough to get by while I was there. It was a lot of fun and I was able to use some programs that I found at my local bookstore. They were easy to follow along and when I got to Paris, I was able to say hello in French!
