Using the right paint job for every room at home

Paint can be glossy, matte (or flat finish), eggshell or satin. Glossy finishes produce more shine which when used on furniture, give it a sophisticated and luxurious look. A shiny surface, however, can easily highlight uneven surfaces making it necessary to prepare the area to be painted by sanding and remedying uneven surfaces. You’ll also want to avoid using glossy finishes on large sections of your home because these tend to appear cold and uninviting.
