Demo Forex Trading Accounts Must Be On The Same Platform

Occasionally, to your surprise, you may find that a demo trading account is managed on a totally different platform. The broker could have many reasons for using a different platform. Legitimate reasons would include freeing up the real platform and its server space for live traders. Sneaky reasons would involve tricks like drawing you in with an easier forex trading account and perhaps even stacked in your favor (if it doesn’t access the real market) so that they can grab your money and then watch you lose it in real money trades. Whatever the reason, this really is a bit deceiving and counterproductive. Clearly in this situation the demo account is useless for preparing you to migrate to that brokers real money account.
