If a parent or friend has asked you to be the executor of their will there are some important things you should learn first. An important thing to consider is the number and personality of the beneficiaries. Beneficiaries of an estate are notoriously impatient and they the make the life of the executor of will a living hell. Make sure before you take the job that the family is not a bunch of lose cannons. Because if they are, they will be aiming their cannon balls at you. You also want to make sure that you can get paid by the estate for doing the work. If you are going to get abused you might as well be paid for it.
