Price for Spanish Lessons

I want to take beginners Spanish but there is everything from free lessons on line to really expensive classes in a dedicated school that is not exactly convenient. Where do I go and what price should I expect to pay to get the basics of the language? I probably will not do the free route because I am sure I will get what I pay for if you know what I mean. But what is an honest amount to charge for the basics?
